Day 1 : Delhi > Neemrana: a royal welcome
You are welcomed, garlanded on arrival by our manager and escorted to Neemrana in your private car. Our manager gives a brief presentation introducing you to various aspects of the tour ensuring a real Indian experience. Evening at leisure, overnight at Neemrana Fort. Built in 1964 AD Neemrana-fort-palace is one of the most outstanding restoration works that has taken place in India which started in 1986. Nestled in the Aravallis (one of the oldest hill ranges of the world), the fort offers splendid views. Your room will have a private balcony or a terrace.
Day 02 : Neemrana: hand in hand
Full day at your disposal, enjoy a leisurely walk in the village and visit the nearby step well (the source of water storage in the times of the Kingdom). Overnight in Neemrana.
Day 03 : Samode: romance amidst hills
We drive towards Samode, a quiet town nestled in the mountains. We check into one of the best palace hotels of the country. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Overnight at Samode Palace. Samode palace is one of the most charming & romantic hotels of India, winner of the best heritage hotel of the country award for five consecutive years, Samode Palace belongs to one of the prime ministers of the Jaipur royal Gharana, a lot of the famous bollywood shoots also take place here.
Day 04 : Samode : time for a picnic
Spend the day exploring the quaint village of Samode on foot, cycle, camel or horse back or simply relax and enjoy a picnic lunch in the mango orchard at the nearby garden resort. For the more adventurous ones there is the option to ride the horses up the hillocks into the sand dunes.
Day 05 : Deogarh: homecoming
After a relaxed breakfast, we move towards Deogarh & check into the castle called Deogarh Mahal, Remainder of the day at leisure to enjoy the view of the Aravallis mountain range & the numerous lakes, strewn across the countryside from the comfort of your room.
Overnight at Deogarh Mahal. An imposing 17th century structure. Run by owner Rawal Nahar Singh of the royal lineage, every guest here is personally supervised and utmost care is taken with attention to the minutest details. The hotel is the winner of the harpers & queen best historical hotel in 2003. The huge gate of the castle which once remained closed, to ward off enemies, is now open to guests from all over the world.
Day 06 : Udaipur: love floats
The first half at leisure, we reach Udaipur by mid afternoon and check into our hotel, love floats as we enjoy a romantic boat ride along with a memorable pontoon dinner on the lake - an experience of a lifetime.
Overnight at Fatehprakash Palace. Fatehprakash is a Grand heritage Palace built along the shores of Lake Pichola & a winner of the National Tourism Award for the best heritage hotel in 2001-02. The Palace recapitulates royal customs and lifestyles through its original paintings, furniture in rooms & all throughout the hotel. Our suite room offers splendid views of the lake.
Day 07 : Udaipur: time for some gifts
We take a half day sightseeing trip of this charming princely city visiting the city palace complex, Jagdish temple & the garden of the maids. The remainder of the day full of shopping surprises - buy gifts for your better half, Udaipur is popular for its tie-and-dye fabrics & miniature paintings.
Day 08: Rohetgarh: blessings from heaven
We drive towards Rohetgarh visiting the temples at Ranakpur enroute, Often regarded as sheer poetry on marble this 15th century Adinath Jain temple is an architectural genius. The profuse & intricate carving on marble resembles lace-work rather than stone carving. One of the other remarkable things about the temple is wonderful play of shadow & light on the nearly 1500 pillars (each of which interestingly displays a different decorative design). The shiny white marble & quiet atmosphere of the temple adds a romantic feel to the whole experience. Overnight in Rohetgarh fort.
The fort was built in the 16th century around a perfect semi-desert setting by the Rathore's of the Champawat Clan and the fort turned hotel now is run by the heirs of the family who participate in the day to day activities of the hotel.
Day 09: Jaisalmer : Romance atop the fort
Enjoy a half day guided sightseeing tour of Jodhpur including a detailed exploration of the massive Mehrangarh fort - one of the mightiest of all forts in the country. We depart for Jaisalmer. Overnight in the Golden sand city at
Day 10 : Jaisalmer : starry night
Enjoy a half day walking tour of the extraordinary Jaisalmer fort (still inhabited), visit the various haveli's (mansions) built with yellow sandstone & exquisitely carved with intricate Jaalis (latticed grills). Jaisalmer is also a great place to pick up chunky rustic silver jewellery, colorful embroidered & mirror worked fabrics. After some rest at the hotel we get into the adventure spirit & drive towards the sum sand dunes. We check into our desert camp site & after enjoying a camel ride on the dunes we spend an enchanting evening on the sand watching the sensuous snake dance of the kalbeliya gypsies & listening to the full throated folk songs of the Manganiyars. Overnight in the tents under the desert starscape will be an unforgettable romantic experience of Rajasthan.
Day 11 : Gajner : a hunting palace
We start a little early & move eastwards towards Bikaner/ Gajner, on our way we visit Kheechan village, home to 1000's of migratory demoiselle cranes who feed on the grains donated by the villagers. We reach Gajner & are treated to royalty yet again. An optional jungle game drive would be available on request. Overnight in Gajner Palace. A stylish hunting lodge from the days of Raj spreading over an area of 6000 acres is today a Grand Heritage Palace. The sprawling lawns & chirping of the birds & peacocks make it a truly memorable place for honeymooners.
Day 12 : Jaipur : city shines bright
We check out after a leisurely breakfast and take a drive through tour of Bikaner city and move towards the Pink city Jaipur. After checking in, we drive uphill reaching atop the tiger fort (The fort's location is like a tiger standing on the crest of a hill and overlooking the city below). You witness one of the most impressive sunset from top of the mountain. Overnight at Samode Haveli.
A small boutique Haveli turned hotel provides a luxurious home away from home experience. The Haveli has a distinct character of its own and houses some of the finest royal memorabilia's of arts, crafts, furniture, furnishings all exhaling an era of royal tradition & lifestyle. The hotel only caters to individual travelers and does not entertain any groups.
Day 13 : Jaipur: the return of the royal couple
Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of PINK CITY (the city was colored pink in honour of the visit of the Prince of Wales in 1876). The tour includes visit to the Amber fort on an elephants back - you climb the fort just the way the victorious kings used to, we also visit city palace complex & the astronomical tower. Evening free for leisure or shopping.
Day 14 : Agra: love is pure & white
We drive towards the last (definitely not the least) destination of your honeymoon, the city of love, romance, the city of TAJ MAHAL - the monument of love. On our way we visit the sprawling capital of the greatest Mughal ruler Akbar. Visit the Taj Mahal while the sun hides in the ground. Overnight in the city of The Taj.
Day 15 : Delhi : back home, see you again
After a leisurely breakfast the rest of the day is at leisure till we drive towards the Delhi airport to take our flight back home or for onward journey. The tour ends.
